About Me

My Story

Hello! My name is Martin Ogbebor and I am a third year student majoring in Biological Sciences with a focus in Biomedical Studies. I am from Dayton, Ohio, however, I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. Me and my parents moved to Cincinnati from Benin City, Nigeria when I was very young. Growing up and seeing my parents adjust to life in America all while trying to build up a new life own their helped me not only develop my passion for medicine, but a passion to use medicine as an outlet to reach those who are underprivileged.

Whenever I am not learning about the details behind various biological systems, I occupy myself with a variety of things. In my free time I enjoy writing poetry and exploring fashion. Me and a close friend of mine plan to release our very own clothing brand very soon.

I hope that my journey at UC gives me the professional skills and experiences needed to not only reach the next level as an aspiring doctor, but to also use my experiences and skills learned along the way to assist other students who had similar upbringings achieve their goals all while learning the same skills.
